A Special Workshop Featuring Yogarosa
Friday, March 19th, 6-8pm
Guest Teacher, Rosa Santana, owner and Director of Yogarosa, a yoga studio in Hallandale Beach, FL is coming to Synergize. As a child she danced Ballet, as a teen she ran track. As an adult she was a Personal Trainer and Fitness enthusiast. Overcoming tight hamstrings, and a bad back, She understands the challenges of being stiff. She has devoted herself to the ancient discipline, science and art of yoga since 1995, when a slip and fall accident left her unable to work out at the gym. She is now known as Yogarosa, and has introduced hundreds of novices to the healing benefits of yoga.
Why Yoga?
Adding new exercises can help reduce injury, relieve training boredom, add variety and help recover from hard aerobic or strength workouts. Yoga is a perfect way to correct muscle imbalance or body mechanic problems. With most sports and weight training routines you tend to perform repetitive motions that develop some muscle groups while others are ignored. Yoga can fix these imbalances.
Benefits of Yoga for Athletes:
- Reduces Performance Anxiety
- Improves Concentration
- Increases Core Strength
- Increases Flexibility and Range of Motion
